Health - Shining Through Change
This term, students from Foundation to Year 6 will explore their personal Health. They will research how caring for themselves and others will help them shine in God’s love. Learning about Health is tailored to each stage of development and will cover the standards set in the Victorian Curriculum:
Foundation: Students learn simple ways to care for their bodies, exploring healthy habits through play, movement and routines.
Big Question: What can I do to help keep my body healthy?
Years 1–2: Students explore how growing and changing physically and socially which helps them shine God’s light through healthy choices and positive relationships.
Big Question: In what ways can learning about Health, growing and changing, help us shine in God’s light?
Years 3–4: Students identify their strengths and learn how using them positively contributes to a healthy and caring community.
Big Question: How can I shine using my skills and strengths to contribute to a healthy community?
Years 5–6: Students develop understanding of physical, social and emotional change, building self-awareness and resilience to embrace change and shine as their best selves.
Big Question: How can understanding and nurturing who I am help me embrace body changes and shine?

Adopting a Pet in Year 5/6
Last week we were all able to adopt a pet to keep on our table at school. We had to apply for the adoption and create a special habitat for our new pet. We are looking forward to caring for them throughout the term.
