Student Engagement & Wellbeing

As we conclude Term 1, we are proud to reflect on the positive strides our school community has made in implementing the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework. This approach has provided a consistent and proactive way to support student wellbeing, engagement, and success across all learning environments.
Throughout the term, staff and students have worked collaboratively to establish a shared understanding of the positive behaviours that underpin a respectful, safe, and inclusive school culture. Clear expectations have been explicitly taught, modelled, and reinforced in classrooms, empowering students to take ownership of their actions and contribute positively to their learning environment.
It has been particularly pleasing to see students demonstrating these behaviours with increasing confidence and consistency. From respectful interactions with peers and staff, to active participation in learning and responsible decision-making, our students are showing a strong commitment to our school values.
We have also celebrated student success through regular acknowledgement of positive behaviours, reinforcing our positive classroom expectations, below.
Arriving on time, prepared and ready to learn
Listening and speaking kindly and respecting others right to learn
Respecting people, property and personal space | Actively participate in class
Staying focused, completing work and persisting, even when learning is challenging
Asking questions, seeking feedback and taking pride in learning
| Valuing everyone's ideas and perspectives in class discussions Working together cooperatively |
These celebrations have contributed to a strong sense of belonging and pride within our school community.
We would like to commend all students for their efforts this term and thank our staff for their dedication to embedding SWPBS practices into everyday teaching and learning. We look forward to continuing this important work in Term 2 and building on the strong foundations established this term.
