MPPS Student Values Awards ~ Term 1, Week 4
Students who have demonstrated our school values (Respect, Kindness, Gratitude) are selected from each cohort to receive an award certificate and our new Values wristband to wear to school each day. The students receive this award at a cohort assembly that is conducted twice per term.

Prep
Hazel ~ Congratulations to Hazel on receiving our Values Award for Respect! Hazel is a shining example of what it means to be a respectful member of our MPPS community. She approaches every day with kindness. She always ensures to be inclusive, warm and generous towards her classmates and teachers. Hazel also continually makes sure to use her manners, both in and outside of the classroom. She has been an absolute pleasure to teach and have at MPPS! Hazel, we are so proud of you! Keep being the amazing, crying and respectful student that you are!
Fred ~ What a brilliant first term Fred has had. Fred has made a fantastic start to his first term at school. He consistently shows respect to both teachers and peers, listening carefully, following instructions, and treating others with kindness. Fred is polite and uses his manners naturally, often saying “please” and “thank you” without prompting. He is an inclusive class member who ensures those around him feel valued and heard. Whether inviting others to join in, patiently taking turns, or offering encouragement during group tasks, Fred helps create a supportive classroom environment. Fred also demonstrates respect by caring for classroom materials, cleaning up after himself, and using resources responsibly. Fred takes pride in his learning, always tries his best, and shows perseverance when tasks get tricky. His positive attitude and thoughtfulness make him a role model in class. Congratulations, Fred!
Juliette ~ Juliette is a wonderfully kind and caring member of our class. She arrives at school each day with a bright smile and a positive attitude, always striving to treat others with respect and compassion. As an inclusive and thoughtful friend, Juliette goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels welcomed and valued. She shows genuine care not only towards her classmates but also towards her teachers, consistently demonstrating respect and appreciation. Juliette’s strong sense of kindness helps create a warm and supportive classroom environment for everyone. Keep shining, Juliette! Your kindness brings joy and warmth to our school community.
Maddie ~ This award goes to Maddie, who consistently demonstrates our school value of gratitude. Maddie, you are a true role model to everyone around you in the way you embody the value of gratitude in your actions! Maddie enters the classroom every day with a beaming smile, happily greeting her teacher and classmates. She has a true joy for school that is evident in all of her actions. Maddie, your ability to think carefully about your words and actions and how they impact others is a true testament to your kind nature. Maddie is always seeking to make a positive impact and use her best manners. She listens attentively when others are talking, showing true care for her friends. Maddie, you show true joy and gratitude for every aspect of your day. You consistently share in others joy, making our classroom community a better place! We are so lucky to have you in our class Maddie. Thank you for making our school community a wonderful place to be! Congratulations, Maddie, you are a true value superstar!

Tommy ~ Thank-you for being such a positive role model for the students at MPPS. You consistently demonstrate “Gratitude” in the classroom and the yard. I have observed you being thoughtful, and inclusive during our art sessions and you demonstrate gratitude through your exceptional manners. Thank-you for being such a kind and considerate individual, I really appreciate your calm and creative energy in the classroom. It is such a pleasure to see you engaging in learning and completing tasks at your personal best, you really know how to make the most of every opportunity. You thoughtfully acknowledge others by listening attentively and helping to lead by example.

Orson ~ This award celebrates a student who continually shows respect in all they do.
Orson is a considerate and thoughtful member of our class who treats others with kindness and fairness. He listens with care, speaks respectfully, and always chooses kind words and actions. Whether he’s working with a partner, helping a classmate, or following classroom routines, Orson shows a genuine respect for his peers, his teachers, and our learning space.
He makes responsible choices even when no one is watching, and encourages others to do the same. Orson has been a strong and dependable leader in our classroom, always ready to lend a hand and offer his support. Orson’s gentle and respectful nature helps create a warm, inclusive classroom where everyone feels safe and appreciated. I am incredibly proud of Orson for being such a positive and respectful member of our class. Congratulations,Orson!
Arthur ~ Arthur consistently demonstrates kindness in everything he does. Each morning, he begins the day with a warm and genuine “good morning,” setting a positive tone and showing respect and care for those around them. Arthur is always mindful of others’ feelings, offers encouragement to classmates and shows patience and understanding during group work. Arthur is an excellent role model in the classroom, treating both peers and teachers with kindness and respect. He shows kindness by listening attentively, following instructions, and offering help without being asked. Arthur shows kindness to himself by approaching challenges with a positive mindset and perseverance, believing in his ability to grow and improve. To his peers, Arthur is inclusive and supportive, often inviting others to join in, celebrating others’ successes, and offering help when someone is finding something tricky. Arthur’s actions help create a welcoming, safe, and happy classroom environment where everyone feels valued and supported. He truly shines with kindness every day.

Madelyn ~ Madelyn shows gratitude through her words and her actions. She is enthusiastic about her learning and puts in her best effort. Madelyn makes the most of situations and looks positively at new opportunities. Madelyn shows gratitude by saying ‘thank you’ when she is given something, or someone has done something for her. Madelyn shows she has lots to be grateful for, and leads others to see life in this way. Well done, Madelyn!
Sonny ~ Sonny displays all our school values each day. She always shows her respect for her teachers and classmates by giving everything a go and striving to do her very best. Sonny displays kindness towards her classmates and teachers through her care and consideration for others. She is always willing to work with others, share with others and take care of others. Sonny greets everyone with a smile. Sonny particularly shows us the importance of gratitude at school. She shows her appreciation for the wonderful opportunities to learn and to build great relationships with others by acknowledging these opportunities by simply saying ‘thank you’ and displaying her positive attitude towards all aspects of school life.
Thank you Sonny for being such a wonderful member of our MPPS community!! You are a super star!!
George ~ George you are a credit to your class, our school & your family. You show kindness to all those around you. We have really noticed how kind you are to your teacher when they ask you to do a task as well as supporting your classmates to also stay on task. In the yard you are always kind & courteous to others, often sharing your belongings so others can join in. Keep up the great work!!
Year 3/4
Alice W ~ Throughout her years at Middle Park, Alice has often been recognised by staff, students, and members of our community as somebody who consistently displays our school value of respect. Today, we are delighted to recognise her with this long-deserved award.
Alice shows respect for our school environment; always taking initiative to look after it. This includes tidying our library, picking litter in the yard and encouraging others to do the same. Thank you, Alice! Your respect, integrity, and thoughtfulness make our school a better place
Sophie ~ Sophie consistently displays the value of Respect towards all the office staff, teachers and her peers. She quite often helps the office staff with varied tasks and follows instructions very well. Sophie is polite and uses her manners naturally, often saying “please” and “thank you” without prompting. Sophie, your respectful behaviour and kindness is noticed by all the office staff and teachers. Congratulations on this well-deserved award.
Raghav ~ Raghav consistently displays the value of “Kindness” towards all staff and students.
Raghav shows kindness by using a gentle voice when speaking to others, listening thoughtfully and accepting other people’s opinion even if they may be different to his own. He accepts that everyone may have different opinions and shows kindness when debating new ideas. When Raghav asks questions about a task, he waits for others to finish talking. Raghav, you are a wonderful role-model of what kindness looks and feels like in a learning environment.
Mila ~ This award is proudly presented to Mila, a student who embodies the spirit of gratitude through her consistent and thoughtful actions. While she may not always seek the spotlight, her presence in year 3/4 is a gift to us all. Mila demonstrates an exceptional appreciation for learning, for opportunities and for the people around her. We see this, for example, in well-timed thank-yous to peers and teachers. We see it in the careful way she looks after our classroom space and its resources. We see it when she tries out something new and gives it her best shot, and supports others to do the same. We are so impressed by the way Mila leads by example, showing us that being grateful can make such a difference to us all. Congratulations and thank you for being a wonderful role model, M.
Year 5/6
William ~Will is receiving this award for consistently demonstrating our school value of Respect in everything he does. He is a genuinely kind and responsible member of our class who leads by quiet example. Whether he is in the classroom, out in the yard or working in specialist classes, Will treats everyone with kindness and consideration. He shows beautiful manners, listens thoughtfully to others and always speaks in a calm and respectful way. Will approaches his learning with a positive attitude and always gives his best effort. His calm, steady demeanour has a wonderful effect on those around him, and he is a truly valued and appreciated member of our class and school community.
