Read-a-thon

The Read-a-thon is back!

It’s time to cosy up with your favourite stories, raise money for our much-loved library, and maybe even win a prize or two. 

Every student who takes part will receive a certificate, and our top readers will score some great prizes. 

Whether you’re into picture books, facts, epic adventures or graphic novels—if you’re reading, you’re in!

How it works:

→ Read every day from August 24 to September 6  

→ Keep track of how many minutes you spend reading in both English and Spanish!

→ Create a Fundraising Page 

→ Ask your grown-ups to sponsor your reading on the page

→ At the end, fill out the Google form with your reading and donation totals

→ Every participant gets a certificate, and there are prizes for the top readers!

All money raised goes directly to the NPS library, helping us fill our shelves with even more brilliant books. Previous year’s proceeds helped us to purchase our soft furnishings: our beloved Noomi bean-bags, our ottomans, our boomerang shelving, our returns box, our paperback spinner and many student-selected books.

What counts as reading?

Just about everything!

→ Picture books, chapter books, novels, graphic novels

→ Audiobooks, eBooks and anything from Raz Kids or Story Box Library

→ Reading to yourself, reading with someone, or being read to



 If it's a story, it counts!
