7S’s Wacky Racers Are Hitting the Track!
The year 7 Product Design class has been hard at work – and the results are wheely impressive! Over the past few weeks, students in 7S have been designing and building their very own Wacky Racers, and these creations are anything but ordinary.
Armed with coping saws, hand files, sanding blocks, wood burners, and a splash of paint, these budding designers have turned simple materials into a fleet of fun, colourful, and aesthetically awesome cars. From bold flames to sleek stripes, each racer is packed with personality and creative flair.
But the real excitement was when the Wacky Racers hit the track for their big debut!

This term, students in Year 10 Elevate IT were asked to create a digital poster or presentation for a campaign that addresses a complex social issue relevant to teens (e.g., climate change, cyberbullying, inclusivity, mental health, cost of living). It had to be clear, creative, and tailored to their target audience. We were impressed with the professional social media and job-ready posters that students submitted. Here are some of the responses that we received around some very important social issues.

Film Photography is often referred to as a “lost art” due to its decline in popularity since the rise of Digital Technology. However, its unique aesthetic - rich in texture, tone, and authenticity - ensures that it remains timeless. The unpredictability of the developing process and the enduring nature of film negatives, which can be archived for centuries, add to its enduring appeal. Below are a few examples from our Year 9/10 Film Photography class. Congratulations to the whole team on a fantastic semester of creativity and dedication.
Year 9/10 Digital Photography allowed students to explore instant results, endless creative possibilities, and the freedom to experiment without limits. Throughout the semester, they learned to harness the powerful tools built into digital cameras and Adobe Photoshop editing software, offering an accessible and dynamic alternative to the Film Photography curriculum. From spontaneous snapshots to professional-quality compositions, this subject became a creative outlet for all. Below are some standout examples from the Digital Photography class. Keep up the great work, photographers!
