Year 7 and 8

It’s been a fantastic start to the term in the Junior School – and with spring in the air, there’s an extra buzz of energy around Sunbury College!

A big congratulations to 8C for taking out first place in the Year 8 Home Group competition – a great achievement and well-deserved recognition for their teamwork and commitment.

Our Sunbury College SWPBS (School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support) model is in full swing, with students having the chance to earn a $5 canteen voucher by demonstrating our school values in their learning and interactions. It’s wonderful to see so many students being recognised for their positive contributions to our school community.

There’s been lots happening in sport, and it’s been fantastic to see so many students trying out, competing, and representing Sunbury College with pride.

For our Year 8's, there’s also been a sense of excitement and anticipation as they have recently selected their subjects for Year 9. This important step allows them to begin tailoring their education to their interests and future aspirations. We’re incredibly proud of the thoughtful and informed way they approached this process, weighing up the opportunities and challenges of each subject choice.

We commend all our Year 8 students for their mature approach, and we’re confident the subjects they’ve chosen will both inspire and challenge them as they step into the next stage of their learning journey.

A reminder about our Sunbury College  uniform. Students are required to be in full school uniform each day; hoodies must not be worn at any time

If you have any concerns about your child’s wellbeing or learning, please don’t hesitate to contact the Junior School Coordinators – we are here to support both students and families.

Best of luck to all our students as they embrace the opportunities this term has to offer – the future looks bright!

Warm regards,

Junior School Team
