Principal's Report

Dear Families,

JEANS FOR GENES DAY

Junior School Council ran a very successful out of uniform day today raising $158 for Jean for Genes Day. Students loved the opportunity to dress in casual clothes.

REGIONAL VISIT

Today we had a Community Engagement Visit from Sharon Hensgen - Smith the Area Executive Director of the Goulburn Region and Brendan Bicknell the Acting Senior Education Improvement Leader. Both visitors were very impressed with our calm and orderly learning environment, our academic achievements and the amazing facilities we have at Toolamba.

BOOK DONATIONS

A huge thank you to Louis Ryan and his family for their donation of books. We are very grateful and will add them to our library.

Also, thank you to Oliver, Spencer and Mardi Williams (former family) who donated books as well.

BOOK WEEK

This year's Book Week theme is "Book an Adventure." We will be celebrating Book Week on Monday 18th of August, with a Dress up Day and parade. We would love the students to dress up as their favourite book character on that day. We will have a parade in the morning at 9am. Students will participate in a book activity during the day.

ATHLETICS

We are grateful to Jacqui Evans for coming along to help students prepare for the athletic sports. This week's session focused on running, and next week’s training will cover shot put and discus. Our whole-school athletics day will be held on Tuesday 2nd September, with training starting next week.

The Tatura Athletics Sports Day for Grades 3–6 will follow on Monday 8th September. These are always fun and memorable events, and we look forward to seeing plenty of cheering and support on the day!

AFL Clinic – September 17

An AFL Clinic will be held at Tatura Primary School on Tuesday, September 17th. Further details will be provided closer to the date.

Parent–Student–Teacher Interviews

It’s been wonderful seeing so many families taking the opportunity to meet with staff and celebrate the progress students are making. We really value these conversations and the partnership we have with our families.

CYBER SAFETY - VICTORIA POLICE

On August 26th we have arranged for Constable Brook Alexander to visit our school to present a Cyber Safety Session to the students. This is a refresh for the students and will be targeted for students in Grades 2 to 6. We are hoping to secure a parent cyber session with enough interest. Please complete the survey link below for anyone interested.
