From the Year 2 Classroom

Welcome back! We have hit the ground running as we begin Semester Two.

In Literacy, we are learning about Inferring using clues from the text and what we already know to gain greater understanding of what we read. We have begun looking at conjunctions and how these are used to join sentences together. In Spelling we are focused on compound words and prefixes this week.

In Maths we have started Multiplication and Division, which some children are very excited about, as they love times tables!

This Friday we will be celebrating Grandparents day with a whole school liturgy followed by open classrooms and morning tea. 

New Reader's Diaries will be coming home this week. If you could continue to log weekly reading and send this is at the end of each week that would be greatly appreciated.
