WORSHIP SERVICES AT ST PAUL

Everyone is welcome to attend the worship service held in the church each Sunday at 9.30am.

PLAYGROUP @ ST PAUL

Held every Tuesday during term time from 9-10.30am, Playgroup @ St Paul is for children aged 0-5 and a parent/caregiver. School families are more than welcome to come across after you have done the school drop-off. We won’t be completely set up, but you are still welcome to hang out with us.

Cost is $2 per family and your first visit is free.

Come and check out the play space, make a craft, play with playdough, explore the sensory play space, and join in with story and song time.

This week we made caterpillars at the craft table to go with the book ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle.  You’ve gotta love an activity that uses googly eyes.

Next week is Nursery Rhyme Day, where we will be looking at lots of different Nursery Rhymes and reading the book ‘Think Big’ by Kes Gray.

GROWING FAITH AT HOME

This resource is developed by the Lutheran Church of Australia and is intended to be a guide in sharing faith activities with members of your family.

Here are a few ways you could introduce faith discussions in your home and day-to-day life.

This week the Bible reading calls us to store up our treasures in heaven, where they cannot be stolen or destroyed, but will last forever in God’s eternal kingdom.  True security and treasure lie in faithfulness and service to God and his provision and not in the accumulation of things on earth and the anxiety to provide for our own needs.

When Jesus is the true treasure of our hearts, we will commit our resources, such as money, time and talents, to His work in the world.  This does not mean that good deeds will get us into heaven; only belief in Jesus can do that. But rather, the good deeds are an expression of our love for Jesus.

MEALTIME PRAYER

Food on our table.  Grace in our lives.  Praise in our hearts.  Thank you, God! Amen.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, you are our true treasure.  Help us to put you first in our hearts today.  Amen.

BLESSING

(Name) May you be ready to receive God’s treasure. Amen.
