Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus for the next fortnight will be on Peer Support. During this time, we will be reinforcing the importance of respectful and responsible conduct in moving to and from the sessions, and during the sessions, to ensure everyone benefits from the activities.
Our key objectives will include:
- Having students organise themselves quickly into their groups and move off sensibly to their activities.
- Encouraging students to be actively engaged in their learning with their peer leaders.
- Teaching strategies to manage distractions and stay focused during lessons.
- Having students to move back to their classrooms quickly and quietly at the conclusion of sessions.
We kindly ask for your support at home by discussing these expectations with your child and encouraging them to practice positive behaviours in their Peer Support groups. Together, we can help our students understand the impact of their actions and the importance of contributing to a respectful learning community.
