Year 7 Camp
This week presented much excitement for our Year 7 students as they eagerly boarded coaches for their first camp at St Joseph's College! Spilt into two groups, our students immersed themselves in a whirlwind of fun and adventure, forging new friendships and getting to know the accompanying St Joseph's staff over three days at Camp Weekaway.
Blessed with wonderful weather and set amidst a picturesque location, Camp Weekaway offered our students not only a chance to enjoy fantastic facilities but also to engage in a range of exciting activities. Among these, laser tag and possum gliding emerged as clear favorites, sparking laughter and friendship among the participants.
The highlight of the first night for each group was undoubtedly the mini Olympics, where students enthusiastically participated in a range of challenges, showcasing their talents and team spirit. Laughter filled the air as competition ensued, creating fun for all involved.
On the second night, the groups came together for a reflective liturgy, offering students a chance to express gratitude for the experiences and friendships forged during camp. It was a reminder of the importance of cherishing each moment and appreciating the blessings in our lives.
Huge thank you to all the teachers involved in organsing this wonderful experience for our staff and congratulations to the students who embraced the spirit of friendship, discovery, and gratitude.
