St Pius X and Mercy Student Leader Afternoon Tea – Friday 23 February

On Friday afternoon, the Pius leadership team had the pleasure of co-hosting a prefect afternoon tea with the leaders from Mercy College. Delegates from schools including Joeys, Roseville, Bridgidine, Abbotsleigh and more all came to Mercy's campus to join us. We had the opportunity to share ideas, make connections and have a good time while playing games like charades, line drawing and Would You Rather Uno accompanied with food and drinks to cope with the hot weather. We look to continue working with those schools as we visit for their afternoon teas but especially work with Mercy as we collaborate with them right across the road.

Youth Mass

On Sunday 25 February, Our Lady of Dolours hosted the first Youth Mass of the year. This Mass occurs just twice a term and is attended by many, including many senior leaders from both St Pius X and Mercy College. After a beautiful service, students from each college discussed important events and details that have already occurred thus far. Be sure to come along for the next Youth Mass, to enjoy the atmosphere, community and complimentary Chargrill Charlie's feed afterwards.

EREA NSW Student Leadership Symposium

On Monday, 26 February, the St Pius X Leaders had the amazing opportunity to host the Official EREA school’s symposium at our Oxford Falls campus. Starting the day off with prayer and acknowledgement of country, followed by our key note speaker, Alopi Latukefu, who spoke about the different factors of overcoming change and diversity within the school communities. We then were allocated to groups dependant on our role at the college, sharing and collaborating with other leaders, exchanging great ideas for our college’s future. We finished the day by regrouping in our schools and finalising all shared ideas throughout the day. This was an amazing experience and a great way to keep our connections with fellow schools. A massive thanks from the Student Leadership Team to everyone who was involved in the day, and Mr Petrie for hosting the event.
