Ciao Everyone,
Preps were introduced to Italian this Term by playing games to learn the greeting “Buongiorno” and to sing the greeting song, “Ciao Buongiorno”. They sing the song in Italian and English.
Grade 1 and Grade 2 students were able to revise Greetings, the Ciao Buongiorno song and play games along with any new students to the school. The classroom games were familiar and known to the students, so it was a matter of teaching the chants in Italian. The games were “Doggie, Doggie” – “Cane, Cane” and “Heads Down Thumbs Up” - “Testa Giu – Police Su”.
