Wominjeka – Welcome in the Woiwurrung language
The Lilydale Heights College Community takes great pleasure in extending a warm welcome to five new deadly First Nations students: Huxley BB, Gem KD, Takara B, Spencer O and Mary M. As you settle into your new surroundings, we encourage you to embrace the spirit of curiosity and discovery that defines our school community. Welcome to our LHC mob. We look forward to seeing you thrive and grow as you embark on a successful and fulfilling year ahead.
Congratulations – First Nation Captain
We are thrilled to announce Spencer S has been selected as the First Nation Captain for 2024. His dedication to fostering diversity and promoting culture, histories, traditions and values of First Nations peoples is truly commendable. Spencer's passion extends beyond school with connection and further leadership in Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place. Congratulations Spencer, on this well-deserved recognition. We look forward to hearing from Spencer in the next newsletter.

Day 1 of 6 at Yarra Ranges Tech School
22nd February saw nine deadly students take on the first day out of six at Yarra Ranges Tech School. Students were able to use their Virtual Reality technology and express their creativity on Procreate, an app on Apple products. We have another day coming up on 7th March.
