Lilydale Heights College Achieves Second Resource Smart Schools Star

Lilydale Heights College has received a second Resource Smart Schools Star for waste. Throughout the year of 2023, the Sustainability Team worked on projects that encouraged students to dispose their waste considerately.  Projects include waste management bins, bottle top collection competition and the recycled art competition. These have supported student learning and development with waste management. Year 7 students are currently undertaking our annual litter survey. It will be interesting to see if our litter levels have reduced since the start of 2023.  Stay tuned for the next newsletter to find out.
