Year 9 Mock Interviews & Morrisby Testing

Planning is underway for our Mock Interviews and Morrisby testing for Year 9s which are scheduled for Wednesday 20 March. Students have started working on their resumes in Explore, and in the next couple of weeks, lessons will focus on Cover Letters and preparing for interviews.  More information will be published for parents and students on Compass and in future Newsletters – please keep your eyes peeled!

Year 10 Work Experience

Mon 20 to Fri 24 May

Our Year 10s should well and truly be planning and preparing for their upcoming Work Experience.  Students are currently being guided through the process of approaching businesses and organisations, and practicing their “cold calling” skills in Explore.  If any students require extra assistance, they are encouraged to discuss this with their Explore teacher or contact us.

Year 11 - Study Scores & Scaling

During the Year 11 assembly this week, we had the chance to meet the students and provide some brief information on Study Scores and scaling in Year 12.  Additionally, we informed students about early entry programs that many universities offer, and that some will look at Year 11 grades in the process.  If any students would like any further information about early entry programs, please contact us.

Year 12 Pathway Meetings

We are so proud of the way in which our Year 12s have been engaging in their Pathway and Career Planning from the beginning of this year. It’s been fantastic having early conversations with students so that they can start setting some goals and undertaking research.  We encourage students to continue making their bookings appointments (through Compass Conferences) for during a study period, recess or lunch.

Expressions of interest – Trades Fit Expo

We are currently taking expressions of interest from Year 9 and 10 female and gender diverse students to attend the Trades Fit expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

We will be taking a group of students via train on Wednesday 8 May, to explore the exciting world of Trade and Tech.  There will likely be no cost involved in this excursion, aside from Myki and lunch (can BYO).

For any students interested in coming along, please complete the following Expression of Interest form by Friday 1 March:
