MRS MADDIE TYLER

I've been working at St Patrick's for: 7 years total but have been back and forth the last few years with maternity leave. 

I went to Primary school at: St Patrick’s!

If you could have one superpower in the classroom, what would it be and why?  I would have eight arms like an octopus to take the meaning of multitasking to a whole new level.

If you were an emoji, which one would best describe your personality? The starry-eyed emoji - enthusiastic, adventurous and positive.

Favourite School Subject Growing Up:  Maths

What is your secret talent or skill that your students might be surprised to learn about? Have a love for skiing - water skiing or snow skiing can’t keep the smile off my face!

Favourite Children's Book: Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney - I was given a copy when I left kindergarten and remember falling in love with it. Now, the Wonky Donkey by Craig Smith is Nixon’s favourite and a great laugh that we read most nights.

I've been working at St Patrick's for: This is my fourth year.

If you could have one superpower in the classroom, what would it be and why? If I had to pick one superpower to have in my classroom it would be pausing time so that I could whip around and get everything done without missing out on anything fun!! 

If you were an emoji, which one would best describe your personality? If I had to pick one emoji to describe my personality I would pick the smiling face with a halo above it as I would describe myself as someone who is very helpful. 

Favourite School Subject Growing Up:  In Primary School I loved the subject Music as I learnt to play the guitar when I was in Grade 3 but once I got to High School I loved Commerce/Business Studies.  

What is your secret talent or skill that your students might be surprised to learn about? I would love to say that I have a special talent but I don't think that I can think of anything ... If you asked anyone in my family it would be that I always find the best bargains when shopping!

Favourite Children's Book: My favourite story books as a kid were the books from the Berenstain Bears collection, this is because my Nan had heaps of these books at her house and my sisters and I would read them whenever we visited (she still has them at her house!)   

Spirit Animal: If I were an animal I think that a deer would capture my spirit. I think this because spirit deers are known for their gentleness, sensitivity and ability to navigate tricky situations.
