Meet the School Captains

Welcome to the Captain’s Corner, with Alyssia and Patrick!

Hi, our names are Patrick. D and Alyssia and we are your 2024 School Captains! First, we would like to warmly welcome all the new students and families that have joined us this year.

Our first six weeks at school have been so exciting, here is a quick rundown of everything that has happened so far. In week 2, we had our Welcome Mass and the parent-teacher information sharing which was really important.

In week 3, we had Zoopa Doopa Day, which was one of Alyssia’s election promises!!!

It was really satisfying to see everyone enjoy something we’ve set up! We also had Shrove Tuesday pancakes, which were delicious, and our Ash Wednesday mass.

In week 4, we had the Dendy District Swimming Carnival and District Tennis! See the Sports Captain’s news for more information on these sports items.

During the same week, the Year 5 and 6s went on an excursion to the town hall and enjoyed a personalised tour with the Mayor!

See the SRC newsletter for more on the excursion.

This week, we had our first Open Day on Monday. Many prospective parents came to take a tour around the school, they were greeted by all the Year 6s, who held a stall relating to their captaincy roles.

Next week, our Year 3 and Year 5 students begin NAPLAN testing. We wish them good luck! Also, a quick reminder that Monday is Labour Day, so enjoy the long weekend!
