Leadership Liturgy

On Monday 9 February, our Junior School leaders were proudly presented with their badges during our liturgy. These students from Year 1 to 6 will be taking on various roles throughout the year and I look forward to collaborating with them as they help contribute to the many school events.

Pancake Day

The Junior School quadrangle was filled with joy and energy on Tuesday morning as our Year 6 students, together with the Senior School Leaders, hosted a Pancake Day stall to mark Shrove Tuesday. Their efforts raised a significant amount of money for Caritas Australia, the Catholic Church’s international aid agency. It was wonderful to see such community spirit on display.

Swimming Carnival

Last Friday’s Year 4–6 Swimming Carnival was a vibrant event held at the Norwood outdoor pool. Our students embraced the carnival with enthusiasm, showing courage and determination as they took on new and challenging experiences.

A special thank you goes to Jessica Edwards, Astrid Powell, and Ben Johnswood for their significant contribution to organising this successful day.

We also extend our gratitude to our Junior School captains for their leadership and all families who attended. Your support truly added to the energy and enjoyment of the carnival.

Year 3 in Action!

Our Year 3 students have been shining brightly in so many ways recently, and we couldn’t resist sharing a glimpse of the wonderful learning and play happening in their classrooms and on the playground.

A group of our “Year 3 darlings” were spotted in pink vests, enthusiastically helping out on the playground by pretending to be the teacher on duty. Their imaginations were in full swing as they took their roles very seriously - complete with one very important detail: a cup of tea! It was a delightful example of creative play, leadership, and the strong sense of community our students are developing.

Meanwhile, inside the classroom, other Year 3 students have been celebrating spelling success through the Laser Literacy program. Their focus, persistence, and growing confidence have been fantastic to see. It’s wonderful watching students build their skills and take pride in their progress.

We are so proud of our Year 3 cohort - whether they’re leading the playground or achieving personal bests in their learning. Keep up the great work, Year 3!
