Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,
As we move through Week Six of Term One, TRPS continues to be a vibrant hub of learning, growth, and connection. It has been an incredibly busy and rewarding week, with valuable opportunities to showcase the exceptional teaching and learning that takes place across our school each day.
Showcasing Excellence in Teaching and Learning
On Tuesday, we proudly hosted a Professional Learning Day focused on our Explicit Maths program. Teachers and school leaders from across Victoria attended to deepen their understanding of this program and of explicit instruction in mathematics.
It was a fantastic day of professional learning, collaboration, and rich discussion. We were extremely proud to showcase the high-quality practices embedded at TRPS. The feedback from visiting educators highlighted the clarity of instruction, strong student engagement, and the consistent learning culture evident in every classroom.
On Wednesday and Thursday, we welcomed additional school leaders who visited to observe teaching and learning in action and to learn more about the leadership structures that support our whole-school improvement work. These visits provided a valuable opportunity to share our systems, processes, and collective commitment to excellence.
Our visitors consistently commented on the calm, focused learning environments and the high expectations demonstrated by both staff and students. Thank you to our entire school community for representing TRPS with such pride and professionalism.
High-Calibre Staff and Commitment to Growth
At TRPS, we are incredibly proud of the high calibre of our staff and their unwavering commitment to ongoing professional growth. Our teachers and leaders continually seek opportunities to refine their practice to ensure the best possible outcomes for every student.
Beyond the school day, staff attend conferences, engage in professional reading, participate in networking opportunities, and contribute to broader educational conversations. This dedication to continuous improvement strengthens the consistency and quality of teaching across our school.
We are also proud to acknowledge staff currently undertaking postgraduate studies:
- I am completing postgraduate studies in Language and Linguistics.
- Sarah Narres is completing her Master’s in Interventions and is a scholarship recipient.
- Ash Jeon is undertaking postgraduate studies in Autism Education.
- Leonie Hegarty and Ali Cummins are completing postgraduate studies in Instructional Coaching.
Their commitment to further study reflects the strong culture of learning that exists not only for our students but also for our staff. At TRPS, we believe great schools are built by educators who never stop learning.
Harmony Day – March 20
On March 20, we will celebrate Harmony Day, recognising and celebrating Australia’s rich cultural diversity. Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect, and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Students are encouraged to wear cultural dress or orange on the day to show their support. Orange symbolises respect, diversity, and meaningful conversations.
Throughout the day, classes will participate in activities that promote understanding, kindness, and appreciation of different cultures. We look forward to celebrating the many backgrounds, traditions, and stories that make our school community so special.
Uniform Reminder
A reminder to families regarding our sports uniform:
Only plain black tracksuit pants, shorts, or skorts are to be worn with the sports uniform. Items must not have logos or branding.
We appreciate your support in ensuring students wear the correct uniform each day. Maintaining high standards in presentation reflects our shared commitment to pride, consistency, and excellence at TRPS.
Have a great week
Nadia
