Youth Crew is off to a great start in 2026. Students from Mount Beauty Secondary College, Tallangatta Secondary College and Corryong College all joined together recently to start the program off this year. Mount Beauty was the host, and some students began their first year in the program, while others have returned to complete their second year. For everyone it is a chance to build skills and confidence to contribute to their communities in the future.

Small team, Mighty Results at Division Swimming!

Pictured here are our incredible representatives who recently competed at the Division Swimming championships. What this squad lacked in numbers, they more than made up for in heart, grit, and determination.

Every single one of these students swam exceptionally well in their individual events. A massive congratulations goes out to Mac Taylor, who delivered a standout performance to take home the title of Age Champion. A truly phenomenal achievement!

Perhaps the most inspiring moments of the day came during the team relays. Having such a small contingent meant our swimmers had to step far outside their comfort zones to even field a team. We had students swimming up an age level, and Lexie fearlessly jumped in to compete in the male division. Despite these challenges, they absolutely dominated the pool and won both of their relay events!

Four students have officially qualified for the Regional competition coming up on March 13th. Please join us in congratulating them on their fantastic results and wishing them the best of luck at Regionals!

A special thank you also goes to our VET Sport and Rec students who came along and helped out with duties such as time-keeping and handing out ribbons.

Keep a look out in the coming weeks for news on the House Swimming Sports. These were held a couple of weeks ago, and the results at House Swimming Sports determined the team of swimmers who went on to compete at Division.

Student Representative Council

Join the SRC (Student Representative Council)

All students (from all year levels) who are interested in joining the SRC are invited to come to a meeting.

Meet in the library at lunchtime fortnightly on Tuesdays (24/2, 10/3, 24/3).

This is your opportunity to be involved in organising activities and events for the students and to provide student voice and agency within our school.

See Mrs Redmond if you have any questions.
