One of our core school values is Confidence. We encourage our students to show confidence by believing in themselves, trying new things, and growing through challenges. This includes asking questions, stepping out of their comfort zone, and acting with integrity. Being an upstander, supporting others, and choosing what’s right are everyday ways students can demonstrate genuine confidence. At home, I encourage families to continue conversations about resilience, embracing uncertainty, and learning from mistakes. Let’s continue to work together to celebrate the confidence our students show each day and encourage them as they keep growing and taking on new challenges.
Year 7 Camp & Year 9 Future Makers Program
Year 7 students return from their year-level camp today, while Year 9 students remain on their Future Makers camp for another week. Based at Outdoor School - Bogong, students have been embracing new challenges, building teamwork skills, and making the most of their experiences. We look forward to hearing their stories and celebrations upon their return.
Alpine Shire Council are seeking new members to join the Resilient Alpine Youth Squad. This group is a youth advisory group and is a space where young people can advocate for our community, influence real change and represent the voices of local young people.
They’ll have the chance to speak directly with Council, help run events, collaborate with experts in climate action, emergency management and youth advocacy, and connect with new friends from across the Shire.
