Student of the Week - No SOW in Week 3

2026 parent contributions are now live in Compass. Parent payment contribution letters were sent out on Compass during Term 4, outlining the 2026

payment categories and DET policy.

We are using the Payment Centre in compass for these payments which has allowed us to create a variety of payment options. You now have the option to pay in full or opt into a number of payment plan options with 4-10 instalments spaced out over the year.

In person payments at the office are still welcome and of course if you would like your own personal payment plan set up, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Some families may have some SSB left from 2025. Please note that any left over funds can only be used for excursions/incursions.  Please email the office on eltham.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au if you wish to use the funds towards any upcoming events.

Please remember that hats are required in Term 1. Term One is a no hat no play term.

The CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school camps, excursion, and sporting activities.

Applications are now open for 2026. If you applied for, and received, the CSEF (Camps, sports & excursions fund) at school in 2025, you do not need to complete an application form in 2026, unless there has been a change in your family circumstances. 

Families holding a valid means-tested concession card are eligible to apply.

You will only need to submit an application form in 2026 if any of the following changes have occurred:

• new student enrolments: your child has started or changed schools in 2026 or you did not apply at the same school in 2025 or
• changed family circumstances: such as a change of custody, change of name, concession card number, or new siblings commencing at the school in 2026 or
•  you now qualify for the CSEF payment (as per the conditions on the reverse of the application form)

Applications will be accepted and processed up until the end of Term two and CSEF payments are made to schools from March onwards each year.

The payment system only allows one application per student. Parents in shared custody situations must make the decision beforehand who applies for the CSEF at the school on behalf of their child/ren. Schools should not be put into the position of arbitrating this decision.

A payment of $400 for eligible primary school students will be paid directly to the school to be used towards camps, sports and excursion costs for the benefit of the student. We will notify you once the funds are transferred to the school.  Please contact the school to advise how you would like to allocate your CSEF funds when this occurs.

Please contact the school should you require more information regarding the CSEF application process. Application form is attached and should be returned to the school only if you DID NOT RECEIVE CSEF IN 2024 OR YOU ARE NEW TO THE SCHOOL IN 2026.

Term 1 2026 - Classroom Cuisine New menu. "We have added a Cheese & Salad Wrap, Gluten Free Chicken (with Mayo) & Cucumber Sandwich, and Prawn Rice Paper Rolls. We are committed to supporting local Victorian producers and businesses. Our subsequent courses now include an ANZAC biscuit and Yo Yo biscuit from the Red Hill Cookie Co., and Dried Pineapple Pieces from Peels, which are absolutely delicious!  The kids will also be pleased that Hot Cross Buns are back."
