School Council
Last night we held our last meeting of the 2025 Council. I wish to thank Kristina Chaston who has given six years to our council and has spent 3 years of her term as our President. Kristina has been a wonderful support to our school contributing her skills and expertise in our finance and board meetings. I also wish to thank our other members who have completed their terms and are not renominating to allow other families to be involved. Thank you to Nicole Ford, Tim Bourke, Greg Mitchell and Danni Lupeski for your commitment to the council and for supporting our school during your time on School Council.
We welcome our new school council members joining us this year. Welcome to Celeste Carlyle, Kiri Munro, Tess Cowdery and Nashmin Yousefpour who are joining us this year.
We still have parent vacancies for 2026 following close of nominations last Monday 16th. I would love to hear from you if you are still thinking about joining and can chat to you about this. Please don’t hesitate to email me or call me on the school number if you’d like to know more.
Swimming Carnival
We have 33 students that have progressed to District Swimming championships that are being held today. We wish them the very best as they represent our school. Below are some memories from our carnival held last week. Thank you to all our families that helped make our carnival such a huge success. Your support made this another amazing event!
Vice House Captains
At next week’s assembly we will be formally welcoming our vice house school captains into their role. They will be receiving their badges. We invite parent and family to attend this assembly to participate in your child’s celebration. You will be contacted if your child is receiving a badge to enable you to attend the assembly.
Photo Day
Our school photo day will be held Tuesday March 3rd. Information will be circulated to families via Compass in the next fortnight. It will contain all the information that you need to order before the day.
Courtesy to our neighbours
We know that drop offs and pick-ups can be stressful times in the day especially if you are trying to get to work on time. The afternoons can also be a challenge if you are trying to pick up children and make it to afterschool activities or appointments. Recently we have received feedback from residents that some families are parking across driveways and blocking them in. On some occasions vehicles are not in designated bays and this also makes it difficult for residents to reverse from their driveways. We ask that you please consider the residents of Lower Road when driving in the street.
Wishing you all a great weekend!
Tandy Johnson
