Sustainability news
Twilight fair
Our school’s Twilight fair is fast approaching, and we want to make our biggest fundraising event as sustainable as possible.
To help us to reduce waste please consider bringing your own cutlery, plates and cups/mugs. It would be wonderful if you could take any rubbish home with you.
The Sustainability Group Leaders are working on posters for our bins and hopefully this will help to make sure the correct rubbish goes into the correct bin.
SPAN Community House
For those of you who do not know, on Clyde Street there is a wonderful Community House that is doing some wonderful things for our community and for sustainability. You can drop off your recycling for blister packs, bread tags, coffee pods, E waste, light globes and mobile phones. You can also make donations of pantry food items and pet food and supplies as well as a range of items such as egg cartons and newspapers that they can reuse with their partners. Span’s lovely coordinator Zoe is also wanting us to know about their community library. You can take as many books as you like or donate as you wish. Span Community house is located at 64 Clyde Street, next to Clyde Street Kinder.
