A message from the Principal

Year 3/4 Camp

What an exciting start to our Year 3/4 students' school camp! The buzz of excitement was palpable this morning as our eager campers boarded the bus for what promises to be a highpoint of their whole year. For many of our students, this is their first experience at camp, and it's wonderful to see the mix of nerves and excitement as they take on this new challenge together.

The journey to camp was filled with laughter, games, and plenty of chatter, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! The skies are clear, the sun is shining, and the fresh, cool air is perfect for the adventure-filled days ahead.

Once we arrived, the students wasted no time in diving into the activities. They had a fantastic time feeding pelicans by the water, getting up close to these magnificent creatures, and learning about the local wildlife. It’s been a wonderful opportunity for them to connect with nature and each other, and many students are already talking about the new friendships they’re making.

After settling in, students took part in their first round of adventure activities – challenging themselves with team-building exercises, problem-solving tasks, and outdoor games. We are thrilled to see everyone embracing the spirit of camp with enthusiasm and a great sense of teamwork.

Tonight, the students enjoyed a delicious dinner together, reflecting on the day’s highlights and sharing stories with their friends before a pretty wild disco.

Looking ahead, the next two days are packed with even more exciting activities, from bushwalks and group challenges to campfire stories and stargazing. This experience will not only create lasting memories but also support our students in growing their confidence, resilience, and teamwork skills. It will help build new social connections, develop independence, and of course, have heaps of fun.

We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings and will be sure to share more updates as the camp unfolds. Thank you to all the parents and caregivers for your continued support, and we hope you enjoy these glimpses of the fun, laughter, and learning happening at camp this week!
