Over the coming Weeks...
Writing
Poetry was a great way for students to explore language, emotions and creativity. Students will continue to complete their poetry drafts and begin to publish their favourite pieces. When this is complete students will participate in a 'Poetry Slam'.
Reading
Each class will continue to explore the themes, structure and language use in their class novel. These concepts will form the basis for discussions.
Maths
Students will be reviewing mathematical concepts taught throughout Semester 2 to ensure they are as best prepared for their transition into Secondary School.
Wellbeing
To ensure student engagement as the year draws to an end, we will continue our rotation activities. 6A will be participating in 'The Amazing Race', racing through a series of thrilling team building challenges. 6B will be completing the 'Picasso' activity, unleashing their creativity to design spectacular graduation posters. 5/6C will be testing their culinary skills as they participate in 'My Kitchen Rules'.
Week 10 brings an exciting close to the Year 6 Journey with the Big Day Out at Gumbuya World on the 11th of December, Graduation celebrations on the 12th of December and the final assembly and medal presentations on the 13th of December.
