Era ends, new chapter begins

As of Wednesday this week, our Year 12 students completed their final WACE exam at CQU, officially marking the end of their exam journey. We hope everything went smoothly and that each graduate receives the results they have worked so hard for. As one chapter closes, a new one begins as Year 11s step into their own ATAR exam period.

The Year 11 exam timetable has been available in the Daily Notices for the past two weeks. However, if you still have questions or need any clarifications, please reach out to either myself or Mrs Sharan Tagore.

To our Year 11s, remember that success in education is not about luck; it is about commitment, preparation and resilience. Study diligently, prioritise rest and stay hydrated. These small actions will make a big difference. If you are seeking last-minute assistance, please contact your teachers to arrange a time, as they may not be available at short notice.

Remembrance Day reflections

Thank to you to the whole Student Leadership Team for their thoughtful contributions and for representing our school so well on this important occasion – and for these insights below.

Ava Watters

"As a Student Leadership Team, we attended the Remembrance Day Service at St George’s Cathedral. My peers Sophia, Rory, Alfred, Alison, and Ben spoke beautifully, delivering readings of famous poems remembering the soldiers that fought in World War I. We learnt a lot from this experience, and we are super grateful to have been a part of the service."

Sophia Warren

"I had the opportunity of speaking at the St George’s Cathedral Remembrance Day service. I read ‘One Thousand Men are Walking’, a wonderful poem that captures images of those who went to war and show respect to those who fought for Australia. I felt very honoured to have had the privilege to be a part of such an important day."
