2025 Anglicare Ambassadors
The Anglicare WA Christmas Appeal is upon us. Once again, Anglicare WA is calling for backpacks filled with stationery items as this will significantly help families after the expense of Christmas.
Anglicare WA will give these backpacks to the children of needy families to help them start the 2025 school year on a positive note. Our school’s generosity plays a significant part in the joy experienced by a child, when they receive a fresh new backpack filled with new stationery items. Please follow the link - 2024 Christmas Backpack Appeal - for a list of items you can donate.
The 2024 Christmas Backpack Appeal will close Friday, 29 November – end of Week 8. For further information please me.

Do you want to a make difference in your community? Develop compassion, leadership and advocacy skills? Prepare for the future with valuable experiences in social justice? Or join a network of like-minded students and alumni dedicated to social change?
The Anglicare WA Ambassador Program is an initiative for socially conscious students to engage in social justice issues, build advocacy skills and make a positive impact. This opportunity is exclusive to our Year 10 students for the 2025 school year. Through participation in various events, ambassadors will learn about social disadvantages and become empowered to contribute to their communities.
Program Highlights include meeting other ambassadors, connecting with Anglicare WA youth workers and exploring the StreetConnect bus to gain insight into the program and your ambassador role.
An advocacy masterclass, with guest speakers, help develop the skills needed to advocate for yourself and others.
The Anglicare Sleep Out at Optus Stadium is another major event, in which more 500 students simulate homelessness for a night to understand the issue more deeply. This is also a significant fundraising event for Street Connect.
Additional school events involving Anglicare Ambassadors includes the Year 7-9 Sleep Out on the School Roof. Ambassadors host this event to bring awareness to homelessness within younger year groups and encourage empathy and involvement in social justice. Anglicare Ambassadors will also work with our Service Captain on initiatives, campaigns, and volunteer opportunities that promote social change within our school.
