In 3/4, students have been learning about discussion texts and what better way to reinforce their argument development than through a debate!

Students were given a topic and worked in teams to develop their position, either supporting or opposing the proposition.

Debating is a valuable skill that strengthens critical thinking.  By researching and constructing arguments, students learn to identify the most relevant information, facts, and data to support their case.  Additionally, it offers an opportunity to build essential teamwork and collaboration skills.
