St. Finbar’s Inter-House Swimming Carnival
Friday 29th November
We’re now only a fortnight away from our final whole school sports carnival - our Junior & Senior Swimming carnival at MSAC. This day is seen as a fantastic sporting event that sees all spectators witness the culmination of the year’s efforts with promoting the school values and St. Finbar’s qualities we strive for - exhibiting the values of resilience, persistence, bravery, positivity and our amazing St. Finbar’s House-spirit!

MORE HOOPTIME SUCCESS!
We’d like to congratulate our Junior All Star Boys HoopTime team for their fantastic day at Regional HoopTime yesterday. The team of nine boys, together with many parents and Mrs McDonald headed out to the State Basketball Centre in Wantirna South to play in this next-level round-robin basketball tournament. The boys met a very talented John Henry PS team to begin their day, going down by just a few points. This spurred the boys on and they then went on to win their next two games, allowing them to get through to their qualifying finals, placing 2nd in their pool. It was an intense final game, however our boys put on a fantastic team performance and won their final against Beaconhills PS, 23-17!
The boys will now play in the State HoopTime tournament on Monday 2nd of December.
We wish them all the very best for this exciting State tournament. A massive thank you goes to Chris O’Brien for his brilliant coaching efforts over the day, as well as to the parents that kindly scored over the day. THANK YOU!
GOOD LUCK SENIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM!
Next Tuesday our Senior Girls Basketball team head to the State Basketball Centre in Wantirna South to play in the SSV State Basketball Playoff finals. This is an amazing achievement in itself to make it to this level, with no St. Finbar’s team making it this far (in this SSV competition) for over 20+ years! We know they’ll give it their all and make us all proud! GOOD LUCK GIRLS!
