ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Activity: Take a walk outside and spot objects in patterns (e.g., alternating light posts, leaf patterns on trees). Use this as a basis for creating a “pattern algorithm” where they record how patterns repeat and count how many times the pattern occurs.

Extension: Have them recreate the patterns using objects at home and identify the rules they used for repeating it.
