Allegra Spender visiting Year 6 Students - Wednesday 1 May, 2024

Allegra Spender (Wentworth's Independent MP) will be visiting Kambala to speak with Year 6 about her experiences in politics. This is an exciting opportunity which will complement the girls’ studies about democracy and the Australian government.

StEPS Vision Screening for Preparation - Thursday 2 and Friday 3 May, 2024

The StEPS program is an initiative of NSW Health and offers free vision screening to all children who are turning 4 in this year. NSW Health strongly recommend that all children participate in the vision screening program.  If your child has not previously been screened in day care, then this will take place at Massie House on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd  May.

Year 1 Calmsley Hill City Farm Excursion - Thursday 2 May, 2024

Year 1 students will attend an excursion to Calmsley Hill City Farm on Thursday 2 May, 2024 as part of their Science Unit on Living Things. Students will have the opportunity to see how plants and animals grow and change, learn about their life cycles and develop an understanding of how both are interrelated. 

 

Our girls will meet a range of farm animals and classify them according to whether they are native or introduced species. Students will watch a sheep shearing demonstration, have the opportunity to milk a cow and interview a farm expert on how farm produce is obtained, prepared and processed before it reaches our table. 

 

An online permission form was sent to parents and carers to complete.

 

On this excursion, students should wear their full sports uniform including their Sports Cap. Girls are not to wear their Fleece - Zip Jackets must be worn over their coloured House Polo shirt. Track suit pants may be brought only if weather is inclement and maybe worn over sports shorts. Please apply SUNSCREEN prior to coming to school. 

 

Students are to arrive at school by 8.00am for immediate roll call and will leave school at 8:20 am SHARP and return to school at 3.00pm and are required to bring all food and water for the day in their BLACK KAMBALA EXCURSION BAG.

Year 5 Excursion to Taronga Zoo - Wednesday May 15, 2024

An excursion to Taronga Zoo has been organised for students in Year 5 on Wednesday 15 May, 2024.

 

Students will travel by bus from Kambala to Taronga Zoo. 

 

On this excursion, students should wear their full sports uniform including their Sports Cap. Girls must wear their Sports Zip Jacket (NO FLEECE!) over their coloured House Polo shirt. Track suit pants may be brought only if weather is inclement and maybe worn over sports shorts. Please apply SUNSCREEN prior to coming to school.

 

Students are to arrive at school by 8.25am for roll call and they will return to school at approximately 2:30pm in time for normal carline collection or Wednesday Extra Curricular activities. 

 

A permission slip has been sent to all Year 5 Parents.

 

Girls are required to bring all food and water for the day in their BLACK KAMBALA EXCURSION BAG. 

Please note - NO CANTEEN ORDERS ON THIS DAY - all food and water must be taken with the girls on the bus in the morning in their Kambala black excursion bag.
