White T-Shirt Colour Explosions Run 4 Fun at Mackellar!
Get your Colour on, Mackellar Primary School is hosting a Colour Explosion Run 4 Fun!
Our Colour Explosion Run 4 Fun will be on the last day of this term Friday 28th June at 12.30pm-1:35pm. (time to be confirmed).
The event requires students to bring a WHITE shirt to wear during the Fun Run, where they will be covered in non-toxic, biodegradable colour powder from head to toe! You can send the white shirt to school, clearly labelled with the student’s name, prior to the event. All students would have received their sponsorship booklet on Friday 17th May, which contains all the information needed. This includes instructions on setting up their cybersafe, online fundraising profile at www.australianfundraising.com.au.
Fundraising for our Colour Explosion School Run 4 Fun is either online or cash donations. Follow the instructions in your child’s sponsorship booklet to create a cybersafe, online profile page at www.australianfundraising.com.au. At the end of the fundraiser, student’s incentive prizes are ordered automatically based on their fundraising total and golden coins. Student’s can earn up to 15 unique prizes!
In previous years the fundraising stopped the day before the event. This year, because of the school holidays, you can continue to fundraise right up until Tuesday the 16th July.
Please note: All cash donations must be returned to school by Thursday 18th July so we can order your prizes.
Is the powder safe? The non-toxic colour powder is made of high-quality corn starch and permitted food colours, so it’s safe for skin and eyes. Students with asthma are advised to be careful in their decision to participate.
How does my child fundraise? Fundraising for our event is easy and will become clearer when the booklets are handed out in a couple of weeks. You simply follow the instructions that will be outlined in your child’s sponsorship booklet. Your child can accept donations online by creating a cybersafe fundraising profile at www.australianfundraising.com.au . You can also collect cash donations with your sponsorship booklet.
If you would like to be a volunteer on the day, please contact the office to express your interest with your Working With Children’s Check.
Thanks in advance for your support.
