Learning Together

Last Monday we had a visit from the Principal and staff members from St Mary of the Angels Guyra. Along with Early Careers Coach Miss Phoebe O'Shea, they observed our English and Mathematics Block in action across K-6.

On Wednesday, Professor Steven Lewis from the Australian Catholic University, School Performance Leader Mr Justin Matthews and Subject Matter Expert: Data Mrs Briony Martin visited our school to discuss our learning journey as part of the Armidale Diocese system of schools.

They conducted a learning walk through our learning spaces and gave wonderful feedback on the excellent learning and teaching taking place here at St Joseph's.

Armidale Diocesan Mathematics Initiative (MaST)

Last Thursday, we welcomed a large number of Armidale Diocesan middle leaders and Catholic Schools team leaders to our school for the Term 2 MaST/LOP professional development day. We were honoured to be asked to host this day, especially the learning walks and talks to showcase the exceptional learning and teaching happening across K-6 in our wonderful learning spaces.

We are very proud of our school and appreciated this opportunity to once again highlight the wonderful learning and teaching taking place here at St Joseph's. The fantastic feedback from our visitors is a credit to our students and fabulous staff and reminds us that we are a part of a wonderful faith-filled school community where learning matters.

Also, it is a great acknowledgement for our enthusiastic teams of Teachers and Educational Assistants who consistently co-plan, co-teach and co-assess as part of their daily practice to support our students in achieving their best possible outcomes.

Have a wonderful week of learning!
