Anzac Cooking
On the 24th of April the whole senior school had a fun time making ANZAC biscuits. Some of the year 5/6s worked with the play group parents and their children to make ANZAC biscuits, we watched as they helped pour and mix ingredients. The rest of the classes worked in groups to create ANZAC biscuits. They were delicious and worth the time it took to make, we even got to take a few home
Bunjil Place Inspire Leadership Day
On the 30 of April four leaders each representing one of the four of the leadership roles went to Bunjil place to represent our school and learn about how to be a better leader, and help the school.

The first activity we did was a presentation by the entrepreneur Rosie Thomas who started her own company with her sister called project rockit. I loved the part where she talked about in high school she saw a problem ; Bullying. So now she has a big company who goes to schools and does anti-bullying workshops.

When I did improv I had to work in partners and groups with people I didn’t know, I did activities where sometimes I failed. So I think the activity was to mak me feel comfortable with failure because I was losing or failing in front of others. It wasn’t all failing though, other games made me use my imagination.

My favourite workshop was a workshop called Together We Lead. It was run by a person called kano who taught us to be proud of our unique selves and to accept others. He talked about how it is important to include everyone and celebrate our differences.

When we got to Bunjil place all the schools met up in the function centre for the introduction. After the introduction we were split up into groups for our transitions for each activity. My favourite workshop was spoken word with Ren. In Ren's workshop we did spoken word poetry about the words that have hurt us in the past.
