Celebrating ANZAC Day

Creating Futures Together

Celebrating ANZAC Day is a significant tradition in Australia and New Zealand. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and the day commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the Gallipoli Campaign during World War I. It is observed annually on April 25th.

On Wednesday 24th April, we celebrated ANZAC day with a minute silence and an honorary rendition of the Last Post wonderfully played by Mr. Gill. Well done to students Stella Aye Pe and Layla Wright who gave a brief history of the ANZACs and why we celebrate them. They also did a wonderful job reading out the official ANZAC day ceremony words.
