Kildare Campus Update

Stage 2 Opens!

It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that Stage 2 of the Kildare Campus is now accessible to all students in Years 7 and 8. This new phase offers students and staff the opportunity to fully engage, experience the vibrant Brigidine tradition, and embrace challenges and risks in their pursuit of learning.

The state-of-the-art specialist learning building presents a myriad of learning possibilities across curriculum areas such as science, technology, and art. Additionally, it features a fully equipped and accessible canteen for our students' convenience and enjoyment. Please remind your children to bring a debit card or cash to access food and, or, drinks from the canteen. No smartphones or smart watches are allowed.

With the introduction of new buildings, a sense of curiosity naturally arises. It remains paramount that our students uphold our core values, which include respecting both property and one another, maintaining a steadfast commitment to learning, and expressing gratitude for the newly provided facilities.

Our Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA) project is progressing smoothly, and we eagerly anticipate the commencement of physical construction. This marks an exciting time for us, as we anticipate the completion of two fully covered basketball/netball courts for practical use. Furthermore, new equipment is to be installed near our central plaza, providing students with opportunities to remain active and engaged during their breaks.

Works on an AFL-sized football oval will commence later this year with a view to the oval being fully functional from Term 1, 2025. The oval will be the size of the MCG, irrigated and fully fenced.

With the opening of the new buildings significant changes must take place. As a result, adjustments in House areas have been made, necessitating students and their Learning Mentors to organise their new spaces accordingly. Houses will also convene in different areas for their regular Tuesday morning assemblies. Subjects are now specific to particular learning buildings and students have adapted really well.
