Newlands in Nutshell

Here is a snapshot of the important things in this newsletter that you don't want to miss! be sure to read on for a more comprehensive rundown of all things happening at Newlands.

  • The Movie Night has been moved to Friday 3rd May based on community feedback. It was previously communicated as Friday 17th May. 
  • Please note the 1/2 Sleepover has moved to Thursday 17th October. It was previously Thursday 31st October. 
  • There is no school next Thursday as it is ANZAC Day and next Friday is a Curriculum Day where our teachers will be completing some final work around our school’s wellbeing processes. 
  • Jillian, our incredible OSHC coordinator has organised a fun CAREERS day for families who need to access the service next Friday. 
  • In Week 5, The Foundation classes will be hosting a cultural celebration and ask families to bring in a special food item. See the Foundation page for more details. 
  • Parent Helper timetables for Term 2 have been sent out. 
  • Year 5/6 Parliament Excursion: Payments and permissions on Sentral for the excursion in week 7
  • Transitions forms: Grade 6 transition forms are due by Friday, the 10th of May.
  • WOW (Walk or Wheel Once a Week) program starts on Monday and goes for 9 weeks until Monday 17 June
