At the end of last term we set-up engaging activities for Open Night to showcase the activities we do for the various branches of Science we cover at Scoresby Secondary College.  

We were also lucky enough to have our two industry partners in KIOSC and ThermoFisher on sight to support our presentation to the community.  We thank them for their time on the night.

At the start of term 2, our VCE Biology students have attended a VCE masterclass session at KIOSC to help develop their understanding of the concepts of Photosynthesis in preparation for the end of year exams.  

Students had the opportunity to analyse the structure and regulation of biochemical pathways and investigate factors that affect the rate of photosynthesis. 

This program was designed to be a very hands-on practical program that exposes students to techniques that would be challenging to deliver back at the college.
