What's on in 5/6

Questacon

The Grade 5/6 classes get to participate in Questacon this term. Questacon is a fantastic opportunity for students to stretch their thinking and apply their mathematical and reasoning skills to challenging problems. Students have already had some head scratching tasks, followed by a few exciting ‘Ah-ha!’ moments.

Buddies

We are excited to have a few buddy sessions scheduled this term for the Grade 6s to spend quality time with their Foundation buddies, and for the Grade 5s to make connections with our friends at Seedlings and Warekila Kindergartens. This term we also have a few morning teas scheduled to say hello to our Warekila students when they come to visit. 5/6A had their first morning tea and it was smiles all round.

ANZAC Day

Our Integrated Studies topic this term is ‘Museums in Motion’ and is all about significant people and events that have shaped Australia. We took the opportunity last week to commemorate ANZAC Day and learn a little more about this important part of our history.
