House Cross Country
There was a buzz in the corridors on Friday 19th April, with students gearing up to run in our annual House Cross Country. The morning started with clear blue skies, followed by rain pouring down on some students who were very resilient in continuing to run their race.

Senior Sport Update
Our Senior students have recently been involved in some district and regional sporting events.
We sent three teams from Years 9-12 to Horsham where they competed in the Greater Western Region Volleyball Tournament. These teams qualified for this event after winning our local division. All three teams played well as expected and had some exciting close matches.
We also sent our largest ever team to compete at the Warrnambool District Athletics, netting our highest overall score. A special congratulations to Eliana V (pictured) from Year 12 for winning her age group champion.
Thank you to Mr Bail for organising and coaching these teams.

DTL Clay Target Shooting Competition
On Wednesday 24th April, we sent 10 competitors to Colac to compete in a Down the Line Clay Target Competition, half of whom were seeing their very first competition. The weather mostly held out but it was still chilly, causing our students to huddle around the potbelly stove. The wind was gusty and changed direction several times during the competition, making it a tricky day out for all 150 competitors from a variety of Schools.
In the end, Jacob D (Year 12) shot well, achieving close to a personal best and allowing him to enter a shoot-off for second and third place for Senior boys. Jacob fell short of placing for second, but held his nerve as the shoot-off continued and clinched third place. Well done to Jacob and all our competitors who represented King's College with integrity and their best efforts.
