We are honoured to invite you and your children to celebrate Father’s Day together with our community at the annual Father's Day Breakfasts:
Brooklyn Park Campus (ELC to Year 6)
Thursday 29 August, 7.30am - 8:30am
We’ve started the term celebrating the Olympics with a range of maths and art-related activities.
The students competed against each other in Addition Archery, where they had to apply their addition skills to calculate scores and compare results. We surveyed one another and created picture graphs representing which sports sounded most interesting to watch.
In Art, students also designed their own Olympic torch, including a picture of themselves playing an Olympic sport.
This has been a fun way to learn and practice key principles within our different learning areas, while learning a lot about the world of sport and the Olympics.

On Friday Week 2 we celebrated Friendships at our Brooklyn Park Campus!
Our second annual Friendship Day was devoted to empowering children with friendship skills and continuing to build upon our culture of kindness. In our Junior school, students split into groups of a mix of students from Foundation to Year 6, with our ELC friends also joining in the fun this year.
Students rotated through a range of fun games and activities, each with a focus on a learning outcome. Activities ranged from cooperative challenges, making Friend-o-meters, 'Friendship Ninja' headbands, our very own Friend-O-lympics, learning a Friendship song performed by the entire campus, drawing friendship experiences with chalk, and so much more, including a massive recess and lunch dance party!
Each student and staff member also decorated a hand to represent how they show kindness to others. The hands will form part of an Emmaus Tree of Community, which will be displayed in our library.
Friendship Day celebrates the friendship skills we have been building in our 'Friendology 101' lessons. This program, by URSTRONG, helps children establish and maintain healthy relationships, manage conflict with kindness, and increase their overall resilience.
This year also allowed us to show kindness to others outside of our community, with the Sock For Wishes campaign. This ensured we had plenty of groovy socks on show today whilst raising vital donations towards making a wish come true for a child in need.
At Emmaus we're so proud of our students' engagement and their willingness to be kind-on-purpose to others.
