TERM 3 WEEK 4

Week 4 Update

Term 3 is going very smoothly and it is very busy across the school at the moment. Students and teachers have been working on documentation for Learning Conferences which began this week and also beginning preparations for Book Week.

As usual, students and staff are really looking forward to the Book Week Parade. Who will have the best costume this year? We are also looking forward to seeing our students' creative costumes. Please see further into the newsletter for information about Book Week.

Footsteps - Dancing at LNPS

Everyone is super excited as Footsteps begins tomorrow. Our students will be participating in 30-50-minute dance classes once a week, on Thursday or Friday. Students will learn a concert dance based on the theme ‘Dance Machine’ in preparation for our Community Event on Thursday 7th October.

Parent Education - Wellbeing and Engagement at LNPS

Due to our Parent Education Evening being cancelled, it will become available to families as a recording. The recording will be available to families in our Week 6 newsletter.

Honour Boards

Last year our Senior students had many questions as to why LNPS didn't have Honour Boards and end-of-year awards for our Senior Graduates.  Research was undertaken in our archives and discussions with former scholars, and we were unable to find any evidence of this occurring in the past.

After discussion with the Governing Council, a decision was made to introduce end-of-year awards based on our values and motto 'Aiming High'.  Success criteria were created and the first awards were awarded at the 2023 Graduation. Our new Honour Boards have now been installed in the Front Office. They look spectacular. If you have a chance pop in and see our new Honour Board wall.
