Uni High Olympics 2024
To celebrate the Olympics in Paris, during week three there were a variety of sports available for any student to participate in, such as running/sprinting, 3v3 basketball, rowing, frisbee and vortex! In Week four there were Year 7 & 8 dodgeball, another round of 3v3 basketball Tchoukball Tournament and the Staff v Year 12 student Tchoukball!
There were many quizzes to do everyday during these Olympic weeks on Quizzz about many different topics, but all to do with the Olympics. It was great to brag about your knowledge of the scandals, history and different sports in the Olympics.
There were padlets as well, encouraging people to show themselves completing a marathon and sharing their favourite moments of the Olympics so far.
On the Friday of the last week of our school Olympics, everyone was encouraged to wear the colours of the country they were going for (GO AUSTRALIA!).
Tchoukball is an indoor sport consisting of seven people and was developed in Switzerland. (A)-Tchou! Oops, I sneezed. It is a game where the rules and tactics of soccer, volleyball and squash have been combined together.
The Olympics in Paris were very exciting to watch and there were many events that were also part of our school Olympics. It was great that we had so many students watching and even participating. Our school's smaller version of the Olympics was fun to watch and take part in!
