Year 9 and 10 English Excursion
We are so fortunate in Orange to have access to our state-of-the-art Civic Theatre. This week a Brisbane-based theatre company, ‘Shake and Stir’ paid Orange a visit. Our Years 9 and 10 English classes were lucky to attend some wonderful productions that supported our students’ study of key texts. Year 10 attended ‘Animal Farm’ on Wednesday 19 June and ‘Macbeth’ on Thursday 20 June. Both productions brought the texts to life and allowed our students to witness excellent live theatre. Year 9 attended, ‘Romeo and Juliet’, which is our Shakespeare text for Term 3, allowing them access to the play before we begin our close study. A huge thanks to our students, who conducted themselves so well on the excursions, and to our English staff, who facilitated these experiences.

Social Science Department Celebrates the Olympics
The Social Science department is celebrating the Olympics in Paris by dressing up each Friday to honor a different country. Last week, they dressed in red to commemorate Paris. We love their enthusiasm!
