VCE VM Careers Expo
On the 29th of July, the VCE VM students ran a career expo in the senior centre, showcasing careers that students are already participating in every Wednesday and Friday.
There were a range of stands such as hairdressing, early childhood education, electrician, carpentry, marine mechanic, electrician, landscaper, welder, beautician, light auto mechanic and many more.
VCE VM students used their stands as a chance to educate younger students on the career paths they have chosen by allowing them to ask questions and showcase their knowledge on what it’s like balancing TAFE, school and work and how TAFE can open up many different pathways.

VCE VM Camp
In week 4 the VCE VM group was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go on a one night camp to The Briars school camp in Mount Martha. The aim of the camp was to bond as a group and to celebrate the last full term of our schooling. We all had a super fun time participating in the activities (crate stacking & giant swing) run by the camp, we all got super competitive with the crate stacking and the giant swing was definitely a funny experience for everyone that did and didn’t participate. However, I think everyone’s highlights of the camp would be the activities we got to run ourselves, sitting around the campfire and playing volleyball and gaga. We ended the camp with an afternoon in Mornington having lunch and a fun bus ride back with Mr Cashmore. The camp definitely brought everyone closer together and it was a super fun way to end off the year! Of course, it wouldn’t have been possible without Mrs Foster and Mr Cashmore so a huge thank you to both of them for making it possible.

Philosophy Excursion
"If you crush a cockroach, you're a hero. If you crush a beautiful butterfly, you're a villain. Morals have aesthetic criteria." Nietzsche
Students went to the city to visit the NGV as part of their study on Aesthetics. Students were given questions to answer and had to give opinions on which art works represent the Sublime or the Human condition presented by existentialism and religion. All students enjoyed the opportunity to visit the gallery, with some students it was their first time. Students will now use the excursion to create a presentation and a section from this subject area will also be included in the end of year exam.
