Term 3 - Week 8
Foundation, Year 1 and 2 - The Junior students participated in a paper art activity for Book week. They made a 'concrete garden' from the book. They have been learning about Victorian based artist, Pete Cromer. The animals they have made in Pete Cromer style have been spectacular, don't you think?
Year 3 and 4 - The Year 3 and 4 students have been completing a series of Olympics based artworks. First they started with the Eiffel Tower and use salt to create a cool effect. Then they cut out coloured sihouettes of olympians, to create a 'moving' piece. They then used foil to create an olympian that stands up.
Year 5 and 6 - The Year 6 students have started their mosaic legacy piece after finishing their string art. Lots of students worked really hard on the string art and they have come up a treat
RECYCLED MATERIALS - I am always on the look out for recycled materials for art. There is a fantastic project I'd like to do using cardboard tubes. If you have any, please send them to school. I'm thinking they might come from the middle of glad wrap and aluminium foil. We can't use toilet rolls.
Have a great week.
