We have been working hard to make sure this is an unforgettable and fun event for
everyone. In response to feedback from last year’s event, we have organised the following:
- This is a GLOW disco so dress to shine! We encourage students to wear white or neon to maximise the glow effect under the black light.
- We have hired a DJ from “Bop till you Drop”, Australia’s longest running children’s entertainment company. They offer a perfect mix of music, dance and games led by an amazing entertainer.
- In coordination with the DJ company, we have ensured the music will be appropriate to the year levels and speakers will not be too loud for the kids. If the music is too loud, we will ask DJ company to turn it down until to an appropriate volume level.
- If you have a song you know your child would love to dance to, please let us know so we can add it to the playlist.
- We will have a dedicated quiet zone located in the foyer for any kids who need a break from the dance, music and noise. There will also be a colouring/craft station for entertainment.
- For Session 1: We will have some amazing Grade 6 buddies to help us with our preppies, and support the disco with dance fun and games!
- There is NO food allowed in the venue. We will have fruit and veggie platters for the kids if they need a break and get hungry. There will be a water station set up to keep the kids hydrated. Each child will also get an icypole at the end of their session.
- Upon arrival, each child will receive a glow stick!
