Science Week is off with a bang!
National Science Week has kicked off at the College this week, with students across the Junior and Senior Schools joining forces to take part in an array of fun, hands-on experiments and workshops that are getting conversations buzzing and brains firing.
We've seen some of our curious young minds exploring the natural sciences with mixtures and separations; Year 2 and Year 9 students paired up to unpack this year's theme: Species survival – more than just sustainability; plus, an explosive experiment featuring Mentos and Coco Cola had our students feeling fizzy.
We'll be sharing more Science Week celebrations on our socials in the coming days and in the next Fountain newsletter.
Preps and pikelets – the perfect pair
Preps and pikelets go hand in hand! Our Preps spent a morning in the kitchen recently, cooking up a storm with our Year 11/12 Food, Cooking and Nutrition students who showed off their perfect flipping skills (it's all in the wrist). Before tucking in, our budding chefs topped their pikelets with fresh fruit, which they cut with the assistance of the older students. Buon appetite!
